HP Asset Manager ConnectorGeneral The AssetManager datasource is used for fast and reliable updating of all relevant data in AssetManager. The Connector can create, update en delete records in all tables of the database. Writing is done via the API so all the business logic and consistency checks of the application are taken into account when changing data. Reading is done directly on the database since this is by far the fastest way. A good understanding of the AssetManager datamodel and functionality is required to make good use of this connector. Details For ETL to be able to communicate with the AssetManager API, the files amdb.ini and amaapi51.dll files of the corresponding AssetManager installation must be copied to the ETL application installation folder. It is advisable to test the AssetManager Client on the ETL server to make sure the settings in the amdb.ini are correct. To setup an AssetManager connector, two datasources must be created.
